Becoming part of the United Taekwondo Association connects schools, clubs, instructors, Black Belts, and students to a respected, multi-generational Taekwondo community. Membership and Affiliation Opportunities
The UTA recognizes that schools, clubs, instructors, and Black Belts may have different needs and goals. Several opportunities are available for those interested in establishing a relationship with the organization.
School and Club Affiliation
The UTA provides affiliation for professional martial arts schools and club programs that have an instructor presence. Participation is by individual application, evaluation, and recommendation of UTA leadership.
Individual Black Belt Participation
Individual instructors and Black Belts may join the UTA to connect with a senior leadership structure and a community focused on traditional standards. This membership provides access to participation in UTA seminars and events.
Recognition of Existing Rank
Qualified Black Belts from established Taekwondo lineage may apply for rank recognition by the UTA. Rank eligibility is based on a review of testing history, certification, and technical proficiency.
